RACHEL, YOU DID IT!    Sending our biggest and warmest congratulations to ZONE3 pro, Rachel Klamer (NED) on finishing 5th place at the World Triathlon Grand Final in Pontevedra this weekend. As a result, Rachel has earned her automatic qualifying spot on the start line at the Paris 2024 Olympics!    Here's what @rachelklamer had to say: 'I had a reasonable swim, it's not been my strongest this year but I have been working on it. The buoys were a little tricky as there was some fighting in the water but other than that it was pretty good. We got on the bike and I didn't feel amazing, I tried to get to the front of the bike pack and do some work but I just wasn't quite strong enough on the explosive technical points - we were going at such a pace! When we got off the bike, we were pretty close to the front pack and I could see them leaving T2 as we were coming in. It was all very busy. I left transition in around 25th-27th position and I was a bit worried as to qualify for Paris 2024, I needed a top 8 placing. I tried not to panic and just give everything so at least after the race I could be proud that I gave it my all. So, over the first couple of kilometres, I worked my way up to between 7th-10th place, it was scary at this point as I had everything to win or lose at this stage. On the last lap, I was pushing on and started to get really tired. I kept looking back, to make sure I had enough gap to 8th place. I crossed the line and felt a huge sense of relief to have made it, it has been a tough year with injuries and started to doubt myself, if I would make it to my 4th Olympics but thanks to my family, sponsors and my coach who have kept supporting me, I have!' #worldtriathlon #pontevedrafinals #wtcspontevedra #triathlon #paris2024 #olympics #triathlete #tri #swimming #swimbikerun #mondaymotivation #medalmonday
