If you’ve ever worn ill fitting socks, you are part way towards understanding the discomfort and frustration faced by many owners of swim socks, which fill with water and easily slip off. By increasing the length of the sock, so it could be tucked into the wetsuit, ensuring there was no exposed skin and adding a Velcro strap to keep the sock in place we solved the problem, a simple solution, but an industry first!

Key Features:

  • Unique design with longer length and Velcro strap.
  • High stretch 2mm neoprene designed to be a tight but comfortable.
  • Gripped sole.
  • Part of a neoprene accessory range designed for year round training.

Key Benefits:

  • Secure and tight fitting to prevent water ingress.
  • Grip and protection when entering and exiting the water.

Designed to be tight fitting to ensure minimal water entry and also to help maintain a strong leg-kick while swimming.

      Surprisingly warm

Surprisingly warm for boots that thin. At temperatures below 6 degrees, I would recommend using some neoprene socks underneath, but since they are very flexible, there is plenty of room.

      Velcro Woes.

Had these before Christmas and they do do what it says on the tin so to speak. Don't expect miracles though, I've been swimming (Skins -Jan/Feb) in 0.5˚C waters and they'll buy you an extra couple of minutes tops. Comfortable and easy to get on and off, which seems to be an issue especially with frozen hands. Another plus is that they don't slip down the leg like some other brands have a tendency to do. The velcro is excellent. This leads onto the problem. The velcro is so effective, that after pulling the sock off with the frozen fingers, it attaches itself to other parts of the sock and is therefore literally tearing the whole thing apart. The softer elastic 'sides' of the sock are very badly frayed, so I don't envisage them lasting all that long quite frankly.

Great addition to open water kit

Wild swimming in UK in temp down to 4degC (so far). Keep my feet warm for swims of between 25-45mins. Also, although the boot sole isn’t particularly thick it gives good(ish) grip even on muddy banks (better than bare feet). However, the material feels very thin and I’m worried that I’ll break them trying to get on and off. Not happened yet after dozen swims, and no signs of wear and tear at all.
