Men's Vanquish Wetsuit - Season Hire

£210
Select SIZE

The Vanquish truly shows the laser precision and innovation which goes into the Zone3 product range.

Pursuing perfection and key design points:

The suit is designed to make sure the shoulder, arms, upper back and latissimus dorsi have as much flexibility as possible. This is combined with some of the world's most buoyant materials around the quads, hips and glutes. This is how it's been achieved:

1. Our highly praised ultra thin one-piece shoulder panel has now been extended from the middle of the chest to the centre of the back. You can see a flat-plan drawing of this panel to show you how much unrestricted flexibility the suit offers around the arms and shoulders. This panel is only 1.5mm thick and made with Yamamoto's premium #40 SCS which is one of the lightest and highest stretch materials available

The extension of this area combined with the lack of seams make the suit extremely comfortable, allows for improved chest expansion and enables a higher elbow position in the water. As soon as you put this suit on you can really feel the difference.

This is now combined with an innovative new ultra-thin 0.3mm Yamamoto BRS SCS material on the arm sleeves. This is the world’s thinnest SCS neoprene and reduces the weight and buoyancy of the arms. This allows a quicker stroke recovery after the catch phase and reduces arm fatigue during the swim, perfect for swims of 1.5km or more.

The focus on ensuring maximum flexibility means you can increase your distance per stroke, conserve energy and minimise the risk of shoulder injuries.

2. We have extended the area of this same high stretch fabric across the shoulder blades and from under the forearm down to the hip. This is the 2mm #39 Gunmetal SCS used under the arms you can see in our product photos. This material is very soft and is also highly flexible but at the same times helps to maintain the structure of the suit over an extended period of time. The panel design really helps to maximise the propulsion you can achieve with each stroke and ensures a fluid roll with each arm pull.

3. New chest panel design continues the focused hip and core buoyancy up through the torso to the centre of the chest with 5mm Yamamoto Aerodome. This acts like a roll-bar to help promote the essential torso rotation between each stroke, aids in course sighting during the swim navigation and keeps up core body warmth.

4. The hip and core areas are made up from a combination of three different materials, each with a thickness of 5mm which is the maximum allowed under ITU rules. These panels are

  • NBR construction side panels designed to work in unison with the front leg panels. NBR is a super buoyant material which is commonly used in life jackets. This material is sandwiched between two layers of neoprene to ensure maximum lift in the water.
  • Aerodome materials used on the front legs from the hips to the knees to help support the core leg muscles. This material is designed with air bubbles built between the fabric layers to make it lighter and more buoyant, producing up to 30% more buoyancy than conventional neoprene.
  • 39 cell SCS neoprene used on the glutes, again with a 5mm thickness.

5. Full use of Yamamoto fabrics designed to ensure superb all-over body flexibility, comfort and performance. Zone3 work on new developments with Yamamoto as a chosen supplier because the neoprene offers fantastic performance features including:

  • Speed: The aqua dynamic 'SCS' Nano coating applied to the neoprene creates almost zero drag through the water. A drag coefficient of just 0.021 compared with 4.0 for regular neoprene wetsuits. The SCS coating also prevents the suit from absorbing water, therefore avoiding excess weight in the wetsuit.
  • Flexibility: A massive 480-580% in elongation, compared with human skin (under arm) which is just 60-70%. Superior flexibility and comfort with an expansion of 7x conventional wetsuit materials.
  • Buoyancy: Derived from limestone rather than oil which offers a 23% higher closed-cell structure. This significantly increasing the buoyancy levels for the swimmer.
  • Warmth: High heat retention: Keeping the body warmer in colder waters to help reduce body fatigue and improve performance.
  • Eco: The neoprene is also derived from limestone opposed to petroleum which is more environmentally friendly.

What is the difference between the 2018 & the 2019 model?

Firstly, the 2019 Vanquish wetsuit has been carefully redesigned with specific Men’s & Women’s body contouring to ensure a superior fit for the dedicated triathlete or open water swimmer. Our careful use of Aerodome Neoprene ensures buoyancy where it’s needed the most around the men’s hips and the Women’s core.

Additional new features on the 2019 Vanquish include the ultra-thin 0.3mm Yamamoto BRS SCS material on the arm sleeves. This is the world’s thinnest SCS neoprene and reduces the weight and buoyancy of the arms. This allows a quicker stroke recovery after the catch phase and reduces arm fatigue during the swim, perfect for swims of 1.5km or more.

To conclude, the 2019 Vanquish pioneers where other wetsuits do not in this price point. The new panel construction allows for maximum freedom of movement and buoyancy throughout, we wanted to create a wetsuit that felt as if you weren’t wearing a wetsuit at all and through countless product testing with our elite athletes, we have found what we believe to be the perfect fitting elite level Vanquish wetsuit. The 2019 iteration is really our fastest wetsuit ever.

The New Vanquish

The Vanquish has built the reputation as the fastest and most comfortable wetsuit on the market and has been used and loved by thousands of amateur triathletes and swimmers as well as some of the best athletes in the world. Ironman distance athletes, such as Tim Don, love the suit for its high levels of comfort and flexibility around the shoulders and Sprint/Olympic distance athletes such as Jake Birtwhistle for its speed and mega-buoyancy.

The largest triathlon magazine in the USA, TriathleteTM, reviewing the new Vanquish and awarding it the ‘BEST IN CLASS’ award, followed by the ‘Best on Test’ award from UK based 220 Triathlon in 2017. Triathlon Plus magazine stated the suit was ‘as close to perfection as you can get with a wetsuit and there really is nothing to fault’. With two of the top awards in the world it’s easy to see why so many athletes have made the switch to the Vanquish to help get their performance to the next level.

In addition, the response from the top coaches who have tested the wetsuit has been overwhelming; with many agreeing that the Vanquish takes performance and comfort to new levels and is incredibly fast.

So much thought, design and testing has gone into our flagship product that it’s hard to know where to start when listing the features. You will find a wealth of information below.

1. Ultra-thin laser bonded neck panel: Comfort is further maximised with our innovative new 1.5mm moulded collar which is so soft and light you’ll be questioning whether you even have your wetsuit on! It allows a tighter fit on the body without feeling any discomfort around the neck. As soon as you try this unique design you may never want to wear any other wetsuit again.

2. Sensory Catch Panel: Aeroforce fabric is used on the forearms to give an improved feeling and catch in the water. Rather than a traditional rubber fabric, the Vanquish uses a double layer of high performance, water repellent Lycra-based fabric. This firstly reduces arm fatigue, as there is not as much buoyancy resistance during the catch phases of the stroke, but also allows the swimmer to improve their efficiency in the water. No water can enter the suit but you will feel the coolness of the water on the forearm panel which helps to align your hand and forearm during the stroke to give more propulsion and also a more natural feeling swim. 3. Innovative Silk-Fit inner lining used on the body and legs to make the suit feel extremely comfortable next to the skin and also make putting the suit on easier than ever before.

4. Our trademark Pro Speed CuffsTM on the arms and the legs for rapid removal after the swim to ensure the quickest transitions, saving you vital time on any course.

5. Downwards YKK zipper making the suit easy to put on and take off.

6. New contemporary neon colours and detailing for improved looks when being worn.

The Vanquish is something we are extremely passionate and excited about. We put everything we know and love into the design and have leveraged physics to make it the fastest wetsuit possible. It makes use of some of the world’s highest performance materials and combines these with a thoroughly researched panel design to ensure maximum flexibility and balanced buoyancy.

If you have the opportunity to try this suit then we hope you like it as much as we do and believe that it can help you reach your goal, whether that be getting ahead of the competition or simply enjoying your swimming more than ever.

Wetsuit Hire FAQ

What wetsuit can I hire?
The wetsuit we offer on a hire basis is the Zone3 Advance. The Zone3 Advance is constructed with eco-friendly neoprene and boasts a Speedflo coating to reduce drag. It has been built with recycled components to lower CO2 emissions by 200g per suit. It is the perfect entry-level suit, increasing speed and durability, and designed for comfort and flexibility.

How does the hire wetsuit fit?
Please take a look at our size guides for more details on the fit of the Zone3 Advance wetsuit.

When do I need to order my wetsuit?
To ensure you will have a wetsuit ready for race day, we strongly recommend you hire your wetsuit in good time of your race. This will give you the opportunity to swim in it and get used to racing and transitioning with it. The cut-off point for hiring a wetsuit is clearly stated on the event hires page. It is usually the week before your race and unfortunately if you have not purchased your hire before the cut off, then we cannot help you and you may not be able to race. Please check with the event organisers as to whether you will be able to race without a wetsuit.

What is the deposit for?
We ask for a deposit on your hire wetsuit as many triathletes who hire a wetsuit will end up wanting to keep the wetsuit for their next race or for recreational swimming.

How do I get my deposit back?
Depending on what hire you purchased, you have the following options:

  1. Day Hires - Leave at the Zone3 stall at the end of the day and we will process your refund within 10 working days.
  2. Month Hires - You have 30 days from the date of receiving your order to send back to us. If you do not send back to us within the allotted time we will assume you want to keep the wetsuit. If you are going to be a day or two late, simply let us know and we will still process your refund.
  3. Season Hires - Please return your season hire by 31st October to receive your full refund.

Can I keep my wetsuit after the hire period?
If you love your Zone3 wetsuit and would like to keep it, please do. Just simply hold onto it and we will not process your refund. You will then have a triathlon wetsuit ready for your next race.

FAQ

Where is my order?
We endeavor to deliver your order within the stated 3 to 5 working day period, however sometimes this may take longer. If this is the case, someone from our team will contact you, unless the delay is due to circumstances beyond our control. During busy times shipping can be 2-3 working days from the date the order was placed. You will receive an email notification when your order is shipped. UK customers will receive a text notification on the day of delivery if a mobile number is provided with the order.

I have received the wrong item. What do I do?
If you have received the wrong item, please inform us as soon as possible via email and we will be happy to make an exchange and pay postage costs for returning the item.

How much does it cost to ship to an overseas destination?
Our standard shipping cost for overseas orders is £20 which is for a tracked courier service.

I think the product I bought is faulty. What do I do?
We would advise returning the product to the retailer from which it was bought. This is because the retailer has sole responsibility for dealing with any complaints after sale. If the product was bought directly from Zone3 then we would recommend getting in contact with us via email with a photo of the fault and date of purchase. This will then be assessed by our warranty team and we will be in touch with an outcome for you.

I fit into several different sizes. What size should I choose?
Getting the right size wetsuit is important as a suit that is too loose will let too much water in and a suit that is too tight will make for an uncomfortable swim. The suit will need to be tight but not restrict the free movement of the arms. Where body measurements can put you into a number of different sizes we tend to use the weight as the deciding factor to give you the best all-over fit. If you are still unsure on which size to choose, please feel free to contact us with your height, weight and chest measurements and we will do our best to get you in the right wetsuit.

My wetsuit is too tight. Can I exchange it for the next size up?
Before looking at getting the wetsuit exchanged for another size we always ask our customers to confirm their height, weight and chest measurement so that we can advise on which size will be the best for you. It is also worth taking a look at the videos on the guides as sometimes the wetsuit can feel too tight if it is not quite fitted properly. The wetsuit needs to fit tightly to stop too much water flowing in and out of the suit whilst you are swimming and the suit will loosen up once you get in the water and in a horizontal swim position. If the suit is tight and you are able to circle your arms around freely, this is a good indicator that the suit is the right size.

What does my Wetsuit/Tri Suit warranty cover and how long does it last?
Your Zone3 Tri Suit and Wetsuit are covered by the manufacturers 12 month warranty from the date of purchase. Our warranty policy covers defects caused by manufacturing errors including broken zips and seam damage (not including finger nail tears on seams).
Zone3 will choose to replace or repair any defects that occur within normal wear and tear circumstances. Zone3 retain the right to define normal wear and tear circumstances, but as a guidelines this requires the customer to follow the wetsuit care instructions included with each purchase and displayed below. All reasonable precautions must be taken to maintain the wetsuits condition. Exposure to elements such as extreme heat and direct sunshine, prolonged bacteria and chlorine exposure, and other harsh or abrasive substances can accelerate product degradation and void warranty. Materials such as fingernails and other sharp objects may tear and rip the high performance neoprene. Zone3 will not repair or replace items that have clear physical stress such as rips and split seams, or where there is clear evidence of inadequate care or treatment. All of our other products do not have a warranty policy.
Not covered under the Zone3 Warranty:

  • Any costs to return a suit to Zone3 or an authorized Zone3 representative.
  • Any cost to return a suit to Zone3 for inspection
  • Cuts to the fabrics from fingernails and/or other sharp objects.
  • Damage incurred due to an accident, abuse, misuse or improper use or neglect.
  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, peeling or fading of the material, or printed logos.

Zone3 will cover all return shipping costs if your wetsuit/tri suit is deemed a warranty.

These situations will void your Zone3 warranty:

  1. Using your Zone3 Triathlon wetsuit or tri suit for any activity other than triathlon or surface swimming.
  2. Repairs done by anyone other than Zone3 or an authorised Zone3 repair facility.
  3. Altering the suit in any way, including silk screening, embroidery, heat transfers, cutting, gluing, and sewing.
  4. Using your Zone3 suit in a rental or instruction program or other commercial use.
  5. Improper handling or storage.
  6. The warranty is only applicable to the original owner/purchaser - it does not apply to second hand wetsuits.

How do I care for my wetsuit?
Please follow some of these simple guidelines to ensure that your wetsuit stays in the optimum condition:

  • Rinse well in fresh water after every use.
  • Minimise time left in direct sunlight and aim to dry in the shade.
  • Dry inside out first and then dry outside.
  • Best kept flat and folded behind the knees and then in half, best stored in a cool place.
  • Only use a hanger for short periods of time and use as wide a hanger as possible.
  • Do not allow others to use your wetsuit. It has been fitted for your body shape and no body larger.
  • Avoid contacting the velcro with the inside lining of the wetsuit as this pull on the sensitive fibres. Keep the velcro covered with the fabric patch.
  • Ensure you do not damage the wetsuit material with fingernails.
  • Avoid use in chlorinated swimming pools.
  • Always use a plastic bag to help put the legs and arms on. The smooth surface of the plastic makes the suit go on easier. This results in less adjustments needed and less contact with the material to achieve the correct position.
  • The Zone3 triathlon wetsuit range has been designed to optimise performance during racing. Its use should be restricted to swimming or triathlon racing.
  • Don't put it in the washing machine or tumble dryer.
  • Don't iron.
  • Don't wash with detergent or bleach.

How do I care for my tri suit?
Please follow some of these simple guidelines to ensure that your tri suit stays in optimum condition:

  • Wash well in fresh water after every use.
  • Only ring very lightly.
  • Minimise time left in direct sunlight and aim to dry in the shade.
  • Do not hang or curl your suit when drying. Dry lying flat on a towel.
  • The Zone3 tri suit range has been designed to optimise performance during racing. Its use should be restricted to swimming or triathlon racing.
  • Don't put in the washing machine or tumble dryer.
  • Don't iron.
  • Don't wash with detergent or bleach.
