I'm a triathlete and have tried a few wetsuits in my time (HUUB, 2XU etc) and this is by FAR the best wetsuit I've ever used. I even had the old vanquish too and this out performs it by far. It is SO lightweight and comfortable around the shoulders, it is great for long open water swims and really delivers! Plus, in transition it's super quick to get it off. I am size XS (height 5'2 and 53kg), I have chopped the arms and legs a couple of inches shorter so that they fit better and are easier to get off.
This wetsuit is fantastic. Love the thin arms which really help to not add resistance so you can keep up a high arm turnover. I need the added buoyancy to help me swim faster and this delivers across the legs and core, so no sore back. In the Covid world the YKK zipper makes it easy to do up on your own too! Another perk, when we could race, the orange ends to the arms helped my supporters spot me in amongst all the others.
So many points to make! 1. I was unsure of the arms and feeling the cold but the body was so warm all I noticed about arms was the lack of fatigue! Thin sleeves are the way forward. 2. Legs are buoyant but support in chest balances it out - no folding in the lower back as I’ve had with other suits. I started this season with no winter training at the same pace as I finished last season and just got a 1km PB. To say I love this suit is an understatement.
