  • Heat-Tech Fleece lining makes this the ideal cooler weather suit or for those who like to stay warmer in the water.
  • Carefully constructed to maintain body heat around the key muscles and organs.
  • Based on Zone3’s award winning Aspire wetsuit, but with modifications to make it specific for swimming in the Spring, Autumn or Winter.
  • Made with 100% Genuine Yamamoto neoprene to ensure the suit is still light and flexible despite the thicker lining.
  • SCS Nano coating for reduced drag and Zone3’s stylish metallic gold Pro-Speed Cuffs.

Whether it is geography, seasonality or just pure motivation, sometimes we need to swim in conditions that our normal wetsuits just weren't made for. For those colder swims we have taken one of the highest rated wetsuits of the last decade, the Aspire, and added a carefully constructed thermal fleece lining.

This Heat-Tech lining maintains the bodies temperature and is located around the key muscles and organs which lose the most heat. The lining is extremely soft and comfortable which feels great next to the body. The collar, chest panel, arm and legs lengths have also been modified to help increase core warmth whilst still offering fantastic flexibility, comfort and buoyancy.

More and more swimmers want to extend the open water swimming season, starting early and finishing later so this is the perfect suit. The suit is suitable for anybody swimming in waters between 10-18 Celsius.

Key Features:

Warmth: Staying warm is the key feature of the Aspire Thermal Wetsuit, to achieve that we have combined Premium SCS #39 Yamamoto fabrics known for their high heat retention, with our Heat-Tech fleece lining for the key muscles groups which require extra warmth when swimming in colder conditions. Additionally, we have made key panel design changes to maximise body warmth.

Speed: Fast both in and out of the water, the aqua dynamic 'SCS' Nano coating reduces the drag of a regular swimmer from 0.4 to just 0.021, while the Pro Speed CuffsTM on the arms and the legs help with getting the suit off quickly so you’re ready to jump into a warm shower.

Flexibility: Chest, leg and body panels are a combination of 3mm and 4mm and thickness plus a 4mm lining, but the shoulders and arms still maintain a 2mm thickness with high stretch lining for flexibility and 7x more expansion than conventional wetsuit materials.

Environmentally Friendly & Buoyant: Derived from limestone that has a 23% higher closed-cell structure than oil, increasing buoyancy levels for the swimmer.

    Toasty

This is my second Zone 3 wetsuit and I bought it for swimming in 14° type water. It kept me toasty warm while still being flexible enough that I didn’t feel at all constrained. The legs are a bit too buoyant but a minor negative. Overall I love it (as I also love my Vanquish). Size wise I am 178cm and 74kg and a Large fits well. A “tall” version would be even better as the legs are only just long enough.

    Gold star!

First of all, i have to say i just LOVE the gold. It looks incredible in the water. The fit is perfect, it's very flexible and easy to get on and off. Nice length legs which allows you to tuck your socks in for extra warmth. As my first thermal wetsuit i was expecting it to feel very thick and heavy, but it isn't at all. It's pretty buoyant but that's expected of a 3/4mm suit. The lining is super snuggly and keeps you really warm. The one piece shoulder and thinner neoprene gives great arm flexibility when swimming. I love it, would definitely recommend to keep you swimming through the colder months!

    Very warm, but poor fit

The wetsuit itself was absolutely incredible- the colours are lovely, the materials are beautifully soft, stretchy, unrestricting and well put together, and you can really feel the warmth of the thermal fleece lining. I wanted a wetsuit to allow me to swim outdoors through the coldest months of winter while pools were closed due to lockdown. As soon as I zipped up the wetsuit, I could feel how warm the insulation was keeping me. Unfortunately, the fit just wasn't good enough for me. Even though there are 9 different men's sizes, there are only 7 women's sizes. I am 181cm, 6ft, and 95+kg. I purchased the XL, the biggest women's size that Zone3 offers, which although it is supposed to fit 168cm-198cm, 5.6ft - 6.6ft, it is only built to fit 73kg-83kg. The wetsuit fit me perfectly and zipped up fine, and felt beautifully fitting and free over my shoulders. Once I got in the water and started swimming front crawl, the extra stretch around the neck (I assume) meant that water continually flowed through the wetsuit instead of being trapped, and so any benefit from the insulation was lost. The wetsuit itself is absolutely fantastic, it's just such a shame that Zone3 doesn't offer the same range of women's sizes as it does men's.

    Very warm, but poor fit

I purchased this wetsuit because I needed an ultra-low temperature wetsuit to get me through the coldest winter months swimming outdoors while the pools are closed. Unfortunately, because there are only 7 different women's sizes in comparison to the 9 men's, I had to choose a wetsuit that didn't quite fit me. I am 181cm, 95+kg, but the largest women's wetsuit that Zone3 offers is the XL, which although is rated for 168-198cm, is only for women between 73-83kg. I was able to get the wetsuit on perfectly. It zipped up, the fit felt comfortable, well fitting, there was no restriction around my neck, over my shoulders or around my elbows, knees and hips. As soon as you zip up the suit, and sitting/standing in the water, you can feel very clearly how efficient and warm the thermal fleece is. I've never been so warm in 7deg water! Once I got swimming however, the stretch in the suit meant that the neckline "gaped" open a little with each stroke, letting in water. This meant that the wetsuit did not hold water for the thermal lining and my body heat to warm up, and instead I had a constant stream of cold water flowing around me. Overall, an absolutely fantastic wetsuit. It felt beautifully built, colours are gorgeous, the materials are soft, unrestricting and incredibly warm. Just such a shame that Zone3 doesn't support as wide a range of women's sizes as it does men's.

A wetsuit to get you through the winter

Sometimes I think Zone 3 are reading my mind! While contemplating how long I could keep up the sea swimming through the winter an email popped into my in-box about the new Zone 3 Thermal Aspire Wetsuit. I know that Zone 3 are a good fit for me so this was something I couldn't miss out on. Just had my first sea swim today to try it out and I was toasty warm. The fit is the same as my other Zone 3 wetsuits so they've obviously taken the additional lining material into account when sizing the Thermal Aspire. I am now the envy of my swimming mates!
