Swansea Vale Tri Club
We're zooming in on Swansea Vale Triathlon Club, where the energy is contagious, and the spirit of camaraderie knows no bounds.
Swansea Tri Club is a club full of triathlon prowess, where you'll find a bit of everything and everyone.
Who can join the tri club?
It's a rainbow of abilities, from those just dipping their toes into the triathlon world to the seasoned pros who eat, sleep, and breathe the sport. We're talking absolute beginners mingling with Age Group representatives and even those awe-inspiring Kona/Nice participants. This club caters to everyone, no matter where you are on your triathlon journey.
History of the club
Initially Swansea Vale were an unofficial tri club of 3 people, formed in 2017. They then had so many local people asking to join, they officially became Welsh Triathlon affiliated in 2020 and membership numbers have been growing ever since.
How does Swansea Vale Tri stand out from others?
“Obviously having the Best kit in Wales” said Chairman Ian, “Other triathletes have also commented on how loud and well supported our club is at events.”
SVT really come together, not just in supporting but in participation too. “At Ironman Swanesa 2023, we had 134 members taking part which was the biggest amount of participation from a single club in an Ironman event outside of America.”

Swim:
- Wednesday - 6am (Female only) - National Pool
- Wednesday - 6am - Morriston Leisure Centre.
- Friday - 6am - Morriston Leisure Centre.
Bike:
- Tuesday - 17:45pm - Zwift (Indoor bike)
- Saturday - 8am Social Bike ride, start location changes
Run:
- Tuesday - 17:45pm - Felindre.
- Sunday – 9am - Social run, start location changes (Followed by coffee, cake and a chat at 10am)
