The Zone3 Vision is our performance wetsuit, made from 100% B-Prene Yamamoto neoprene. It carries the X-10 shoulder and BRE chest panel from the Aspire, and Triathlete magazine named it Wetsuit of the Year 2024.

Most swimmers choose a wetsuit on how it feels in the water, and they should. The Vision gives you a race suit that swims well, made from B-Prene, the world's first biodegradable neoprene used in a triathlon wetsuit, which we developed with Yamamoto in 2023.

What is the Zone3 Vision Wetsuit?

The Vision is the performance wetsuit in the Zone3 range, built as a race suit. It sits below the Aspire and takes two of that suit's key features with it: the one-piece X-10 shoulder panel for freedom of movement, and the BRE chest panel, which supports a fuller rotation through the stroke.

Pro speed cuffs help it come off quickly in transition, and a HydroSilk lining keeps it soft against the skin and easy to get on.

What is B-Prene?

B-Prene is a biodegradable Yamamoto neoprene that shows approximately 30% breakdown within 522 days. The Vision is made from 100% B-Prene Yamamoto #39 neoprene.

Yamamoto also replaces petroleum-derived oil with canola oil in its neoprene and uses PAHs-free carbon black. Yamamoto runs its factory and office on 100% renewable electricity.

Men's and women's Vision: what's different?

The men's Vision runs from 5mm to 1.5mm and adds Aerodome panels on the hips and legs, an internationally patented 3 to 5mm air-hole construction that adds buoyancy.

The women's Vision is thinner, from 3mm to 1.5mm, with no Aerodome, so its core buoyancy sits closer to neutral.

How does the Vision perform?

The Vision's outer surface carries SCS coating, with a friction resistance coefficient of 0.021 against 0.32 for uncoated smooth skin, so it moves through the water with less resistance.

It has also been independently tested by Loughborough University Sport. Three swimmers of different abilities swam 750m with and without a Zone3 wetsuit at the same perceived effort. In the Vision, they were on average 3.4% faster.

Their strokes were 3.6% more efficient, and the physiological load on their bodies was 12% lower.

Triathlete magazine named the Vision its Wetsuit of the Year 2024, and it also carries 220 Triathlon's "Cutting Edge" award.

Vision or Aspire?

The Vision gives you a race suit in biodegradable neoprene with the Aspire's shoulder and chest design. The Aspire, our race-day benchmark, adds Yamamoto #40 in the shoulders, Sensory Catch forearm panels and a Silk-X lining. The Wetsuit Guide sets the whole range side by side.

If you want a race suit made from biodegradable neoprene, the Vision is the one to look at first.
