B-Prene Wetsuits
Zone3 B-Prene wetsuits are triathlon and open water wetsuits made with a limestone-based, biodegradable neoprene from Yamamoto. The range covers the Vision and the Aspire, built for swimmers who want high-performance buoyancy and flexibility with a lower environmental impact. Both suits reduce drag, support a strong body position and improve stroke efficiency in the pool and open water, so you work less for the same speed.
B-Prene is a limestone-based, biodegradable neoprene developed by Yamamoto. The material draws on a limestone source, the same as our standard Yamamoto neoprene, but is built to break down better at the end of its life, while matching the stretch, buoyancy and resilience of a high-performance wetsuit. Zone3 uses B-Prene in the Vision and Aspire.
The Vision is a performance triathlon wetsuit, named Best Triathlon Wetsuit of 2024 by Triathlete, the world’s number-one triathlon resource. It pairs B-Prene with an X-10 shoulder panel for flexibility through the catch and a B.R.E. chest panel that supports body position and rotation. The Aspire steps up for competition, with an SCS coating that brings the drag coefficient to 0.021 and a silk-lined interior for fast transitions. Sensory catch panels add feel through the stroke. Both suits use Aerodome panels for up to 30% more buoyancy than standard neoprene, and 220 Triathlon scored the Aspire 98%, its highest-scoring wetsuit of all time.
A more responsible wetsuit no longer means accepting less in the water. B-Prene gives the Vision and Aspire the performance to train and race on, made with a limestone source and a better end of life. This sits within Zone3’s wider approach to responsibility, from recycled materials across much of the range to long-lasting design that reduces replacement.
