Eloise du Luart
Eloise's Story
The former England Lacrosse player turned to triathlon in 2013 after a series of injuries that meant to stay fit she could only do spin class in her office gym! Despite never having ridden a road bike or trained for swimming, within the first two years became Amateur World & European Champion.
As an athlete Eloise has been juggling a career in social media & now coaching with triathlon, however for 2025 is looking to focus on giving more time to triathlon as she hopes to step up to the full IRONMAN distance.
Why do you enjoy competing?
I love seeing what is possible and where my limits are. The challenge of putting things together to be better excites me.
Inspiration
I am not sure I really have a specific idol or inspiration, more seeing people I care about overcoming their own battles to be the best they can be is what keeps me going and inspires me to also try.
Greatest Challenge
in 2014, I blacked out in the pool during swim squad training and was taken to hospital. I was diagnosed with Myocarditis - inflammation of the heart muscle, which had caused the issue. This led to 3 months of no training, and very minimal activity all together due to ensuring the heart could fully heal with no lasting complications, something which would really question my sporting career. Coming back to training and focusing on racing in the summer gave me purpose, having lost what I loved so much and at points thinking I would never race again, every training session I could do felt like a gift and the best day ever. This gave me the strength to push on, focus on my owntimelineand get back to astartlinewhich was the Alped'Heuztriathlon - nice easy one!IronicallyI had the best legsI'veever had on race day however I struggled on the run due to a rib injury I had picked up a few weeks earlier. Nonetheless, it was one of the happiest days of my life last year and reminds me of the power of sport to overcome.Any challenge, failing and rebuilding,is something I am so grateful for throughout my life, as every time it has felt like “rockbottom” it has shown me more and pushed me forward. Then as an athlete, I think believing and turning up every day regardless is a practice for sure.
Season Goals
Race my first full distance and enter the top 70 in the PTO rankings.

Race you have enjoyed the most
Alpe d’Heuz, it was just amazing and everything I love about sport – scenery, iconic descents, hard efforts, adventure, and sportsmanship.
Top Tips & Advice
Make sure to keep focusing on the fun and why you started. However, “big you get” or however much you want to perform, happiness and fun is where you should always start. This also comes with surrounding yourself with people that make you stronger and make you laugh – however hard the training may be!
Fun Fact
Not sure that “fun” but I have something called time-space synesthesia. Aka a colourful iCalendar in my head, sadly not as useful as it should be but I will never forget your b-day!
NEBULA TRI TEAM
Nebula have chosen to launch a new Professional Women’s Triathlon Team. Why? Taking the step from Age Grouper to Professional is exceptionally hard, where most have to work full time alongside training and then need to be an influencer on the side to support any brands working with them. It’s also a lonely existence, with little positive feedback for a while. Going from first in AG races, to midpack Pro can be demoralising.
We want to support up and coming Female Athletes to take this step, with financial support as well as all the kit they need for a season from our fantastic partners. Whilst we handle the story telling of their journey for them.
We believe all athletes should have the same chance, not just those with more followers, and quite regularly Female athletes are overlooked or treated differently to their male counterparts. No longer!
So Nebula, where stars are formed, with the best up and coming female talent in Triathlon to grow and reach for the stars.
Alongside this we have our community and coached athletes forming a great team of Age Group Athletes driving for their own goals. Some coached by the Pro girls or our coaches. Others just wanting to be part of a community of like minded people.
