Kieran Lindars
Kieran's Story
Kieran Lindars is a British long-course triathlete known for his elite swim ability and intelligent, controlled approach to racing.
He learnt to swim because his mother had a fear of water and wanted her children to be confident. Kieran's ‘learn to swim’ coach, Allen noticed something in his swimming and put him forward to the competitive swim club +, Maxwell, and that's how he got started in competitive swimming. Kieran was a swimmer first but was also running for school where he was scouted for to run for the local club.
Triathlon came from Kieran’s mother, who entered him into the Bicester Triathlon for some good cross-training for his running.
His endurance and swimming background laid the foundation for his success in non-drafting formats as he progressed through the British Triathlon system and into professional long-course competition.
In 2024, Kieran delivered a breakthrough season on the world stage, finishing eighth at the IRONMAN World Championship and setting a new British long-distance record with a time of 7:32:14 at IRONMAN Frankfurt. He carried that momentum into 2025 with leading performances at IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea and IRONMAN Leeds, results that have seen him continue to rise through the IRONMAN Pro Series rankings.

Inspiration
My parents both gave me every opportunity to pursue my passions and installed a good work ethic for me. They all showed me what hard work could achieve. This also reflects all of my family.
Greatest Challenge
I had knee surgery at the end of 2014 which took 1.5 years to fully come back from. I was dropped from the BTF squad and had to pick myself up from a career ending situation which my family and club coaches helped me out massively and hence why I’m still with them now.
