Laura Addie
Laura's Story
Laura is an ex-trampolinist who came through the grass routes programme of triathlon, whilst looking for something to do at University when studying sports science. She started with a GoTri before progressing to full IRONMAN and becoming an amateur World Champion in 2019. For the last few years she has taken a step up into the professional ranks.
Outside of her own racing Laura has a great interest in helping others develop in the sport. She has been coaching for over 5 years and also helps to run an events company with her partner to encourage people into the sport of triathlon.
Why do you enjoy competing?
I thrive on the challenge of pushing my limits and seeing what I’m capable of when everything comes together. Competing gives purpose to the hard training days and is where discipline, resilience and preparation are truly tested. I love the intensity of race day, the head to head competition and the opportunity to keep growing as an athlete.
Inspiration
I’m inspired by athletes who are consistent, resilient and committed to the process. Those who show up every day and keep improving regardless of setbacks. I also draw a lot of motivation from my coach, coached athletes, training partners and the Nebula triathlon community who continually raise the standard and push me to be better.
Greatest Challenge
Balancing the physical demands ofhigh leveltraining with the mental side of the sport. Learning to trust the process, stay patient through injuries & setbacks and keep progressing long term has been one of my biggest challenges, and hopefully one of my biggest strengths!
Season Goals
To continue developing across all three disciplines, race consistently ata high leveland deliver strong, confident performances throughout the season. Long term, my goal is toestablishmyself as a regular front pack athlete and keep closing the gap at the highest level of competition.

Race you have enjoyed the most
I love travelling to races with friends, seeing them out on the racecourse and cheering them in through the finish. However my favourite race to date has to be Zell am See, the course is amazing and location is absolutely stunning, I've never been anywhere like it.
Top Tips & Advice
Consistency beats everything. Focus on building strong fundamentals, especially in the swim, and don’t rush the process. Surround yourself with a good coach, be patient with progress and remember that recovery and mindset are just as important as training volume.
Fun Fact
I genuinely love early morning swim sessions. There’s something about starting the day in the water that sets the tone for everything else.
NEBULA TRI TEAM
Nebula have chosen to launch a new Professional Women’s Triathlon Team. Why? Taking the step from Age Grouper to Professional is exceptionally hard, where most have to work full time alongside training and then need to be an influencer on the side to support any brands working with them. It’s also a lonely existence, with little positive feedback for a while. Going from first in AG races, to midpack Pro can be demoralising.
We want to support up and coming Female Athletes to take this step, with financial support as well as all the kit they need for a season from our fantastic partners. Whilst we handle the story telling of their journey for them.
We believe all athletes should have the same chance, not just those with more followers, and quite regularly Female athletes are overlooked or treated differently to their male counterparts. No longer!
So Nebula, where stars are formed, with the best up and coming female talent in Triathlon to grow and reach for the stars.
Alongside this we have our community and coached athletes forming a great team of Age Group Athletes driving for their own goals. Some coached by the Pro girls or our coaches. Others just wanting to be part of a community of like minded people.
