Lukas Stahl
Former European and World Champion in Canoe Slalom turned IRONMAN Champion, Lukas brings elite-level precision and relentless drive to triathlon. Winner of IRONMAN Frankfurt 2023, he thrives on the honesty of the sport where the work you put in defines the result. Focused, disciplined, and constantly refining the basics, his goal is clear: qualify for Kona.
Lukas's Story
Before triathlon I did Canoe Slalom on a very high level (European champion & World champion). In 2019 I ran my first half marathon, and I really liked that feeling of being responsible for my own result and performance. During Covid in 2020 I wasn’t able to train in my boat, so I did a lot of biking. At one moment I thought “hey, I do already biking and running. So only swimming is missing. Why not trying a triathlon?” And that is the story of how I started triathlon.
I love triathlon because it is a very honest sport. The more you put in the better you get. And that is what makes me happy. Because there are always things to improve and which you can make better and then you get faster.

My biggest inspirations are TadejPogacarand Eliud Kipchoge because they redefined what is possible and make it look so easy to be dominant and fast
Greatest Challenge
For me my first pro season in 2024 was a hard challenge, because I had higher expectations for myself going into that season. And in that year, I had two DNF’s and wasn’t able to show what I can. And that scratched a lot on my confidence and on my believe because in 2023 I was nearly winning every race I entered. So, I changed a lot of things back on how I trained in 2023, which isn't may be the perfect way on how to train, but it helped me to get my confidence and the believe in myself back.
