comes with a silicone cap to wear underneath but I use a different slightly thicker one I already had. At first I found the cap to rise up and let in air/water but I’ve discovered that now I use an oil or conditioner on my hair before I swim to stop the chlorine damage this actually keeps the combo of hat and cap on so and stops it rising up - goggles help too. This is my first experience of a neoprene cap so havnt anything to compare it to but happy that it works and have found a way to make fit - so just a slightly narrower for more elongated fit might be better for future development - but I’d still buy it again and the neoprene has worn well - discolouration inside from the chlorine and some small rips in neoprene but don’t seem to yet have affected the use - but it gets used between 4-6 times a week usually and I rinse in clean water after use.
