We are proud to be supporting Level Water to deliver inclusive swimming opportunities for children with disabilities. With the support of their sponsors they break down barriers and create a more accessible swimming environment for all.
"Visiting the pool in Dorking and watching a Level Water swimming lesson was truly moving. Seeing the joy, determination, and progress of the children was incredibly powerful. It gave me a real sense of how life-changing this charity’s work is for families of children with disabilities. Supporting Level Water through Zone3, and personally, feels like a meaningful way to give back to the sport that has given me so much. Meeting the children and their parents brought everything to life and reminded me how much of a difference each lesson can make." James Lock
Breaking Barriers, One Swim at a Time
At ZONE3, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to thrive in the water. That’s why we are proud to announce our partnership with Level Water, a UK-based charity dedicated to providing one-to-one swimming lessons for children aged 4 to 11 with disabilities.
Recognising that swimming is the biggest unmet need in sport for children with disabilities, Level Water collaborates with pools and swim schools nationwide to train teachers and fund high-quality, personalised lessons. These sessions go beyond teaching swimming skills—they foster strength, mobility, coordination, confidence, resilience, and self-esteem, offering children the freedom and independence they may not experience elsewhere.
Through this partnership, we will support Level Water’s mission of creating inclusive swimming opportunities, helping to provide tailored one-to-one lessons and increasing access to specialist swimming equipment and coaching.
SWIM, SUPPORT & FUNDRAISE
To fund these transformative programs, Level Water organises iconic open-water swim events, including Dart10k, Bantham Boomerang, Bantham Swoosh, and Hurly Burly 2025. These events unite the swimming community in support of an incredible cause, with all funds raised directly providing swimming lessons for children with disabilities.
By participating in or supporting these events, individuals can help give more children the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water. ZONE3 will be actively supporting these events and offering competition entries for swimmers who want to get involved. Stay tuned for details on how you can win an entry and be part of these unforgettable experiences!
How Zone3 Supports Level Water
When people think about Zone3, they often picture triathlon racing, swim podiums, or long-distance endurance. And while those things matter to us, performance has always meant something bigger. For Zone3, it means confidence. Adventure. Starting lines. And most importantly, access.
That’s why, when we approached Level Water, it wasn’t to sell wetsuits. It was to ask a simple question: how can we help?
Because for us, making swimming accessible isn’t just about kit, it’s about creating real opportunity. That means supporting disabled children in learning to swim, but also reaching their families - giving parents and carers the tools, the knowledge, and the confidence to support their child’s journey.
With the support of ZONE3 funding, Level Water is expanding its Learn to Swim programme, enabling 18 additional children per week to receive inclusive and accessible lessons for 40 weeks per year - totalling approximately 720 lessons annually.
Plus our partnership with Level Water has helped open up new pools in areas previously out of reach. Our donations have enabled more kids to take those first important strokes, and more parents to feel secure in the water.
We’re proud to be working together to open up the water - one lesson, one event, one adventure at a time.
What the Funding Supports
The funding provided through this partnership will help to:
- Fund learn to Swim, one-to-one swimming sessions designed for children aged 4 to 11 years old with physical disabilities, visual impairments, or hearing impairments.
- Equip pools with specialist equipment to provide consistent and long-term accessibility.
- Offer weekly one-to-one lessons at a reduced cost, removing financial barriers that prevent many families from accessing swimming opportunities.
- Train and support specialist coaches, upskilling instructors and pool staff to better understand and accommodate the needs of these children.
- Develop a long-term pathway for children to continue swimming, ensuring sustained engagement beyond initial lessons.
Swimming is a life-changing skill that builds confidence, independence, and resilience. Yet, many children with disabilities face financial and logistical barriers to accessing lessons. By supporting Level Water’s initiatives and participating in their events, we can help eliminate these inequalities and provide more children with the opportunity to experience the water in a safe, supported environment.

With the support of Level Water, children who previously had no access to swimming lessons are now building water confidence, strength, and independence.
