Thomas Davis
Tom's Story
Tom Davis was dedicated to water polo, and was part of the GB junior team for a good number of years, from his early teens right up until his first year of uni. He decided he wanted a new challenge, and first stepped into triathlon in the summer of 2014, lining up for his debut Olympic-distance race. The experience proved to be a turning point, and he was quickly drawn into the sport. Later that same season, he claimed his first race victory at the Leeds Castle Triathlon in Kent.
That early success opened the door to valuable support, as the event organiser — a former professional triathlete — offered him mentorship and coaching guidance through the remainder of the summer. At the time, Tom was studying at Loughborough University, where he earned a place on the institution’s high-performance squad. He went on to spend the next four years training in a highly competitive environment alongside many of the country’s leading athletes.
