High-Performance Triathlon Wetsuit

The Zone3 Aspire is one of the most-loved triathlon wetsuits in the sport, trusted for over 15 years for its exceptional comfort, performance, and feel in the water.

WHO IT'S FOR

The Aspire is one of Zone3's most advanced triathlon wetsuits, built for athletes who want measurable gains in the water and a suit that genuinely feels exceptional from the first stroke. Some choose it for race-day performance: exceptional body position, full stroke freedom, and the endurance benefits of a top-tier suit. Others choose it for how it feels: buttery soft against the skin, natural through every stroke, comfortable across the most challenging swims. Most choose it for both.

  • You want a wetsuit that actively improves your swim, in feel and in performance
  • You want kit that delivers measurable buoyancy, flexibility, and speed advantages
  • You're investing in a suit you'll wear for years across many distances and conditions
  • Sustainability matters to you, in your kit as much as your training

WHERE IT SITS IN THE RANGE

The Aspire sits at the top of Zone3's core wetsuit range, one step below the Vanquish-X. Moving up from the Vision, you get significantly more buoyancy, greater flexibility throughout, premium comfort against the skin, and the most advanced feel for the water Zone3 builds outside the elite tier. For most athletes, once you've worn the Aspire, you won't look back.

KEY BENEFITS

  1. You'll swim further on less energy. Body position is everything in open water swimming. When your body sits naturally in the water and runs flat, drag drops and every stroke travels further. The women's Aspire is engineered to work with the buoyancy you already have, supporting a balanced body line without
over-lifting your legs, so your kick stays efficient and your lower back stays comfortable across the full distance. The BRE (Body Rotation Enhancement) chest panel then stabilises your rotation stroke-for-stroke, cutting energy wasted on
lateral movement and lengthening the distance you get from every pull.
  2. Less drag. More speed. Every Stroke. The SCS
(Super Composite Skin) nano-coating on the Aspire reduces drag to a coefficient of 0.021, compared to 4.0 for standard neoprene. That difference is not marginal. Water moves over the suit rather than resisting your movement through it, and because SCS prevents water absorption, the suit stays lightweight from start to finish. Speed holds across the full swim, not just the first few hundred metres.
  3. Your stroke stays free across the full distance. The X-10 one-piece shoulder panel, constructed from Yamamoto premium #40 neoprene, stretches 360° across the torso and shoulders without seams interrupting your range of motion. Sensory Catch panels on the forearms enhance feel and catch consistency over distance. This matters most late in the swim, when shoulder fatigue compounds and restriction becomes a real cost to pace. The Aspire removes that variable, giving you the same freedom of stroke in the final 400 metres as the first.
  4. Genuinely the most comfortable suit you'll wear. The Silk-X premium inner lining makes the Aspire buttery soft against the skin and one of the easiest suits on the market to put on and take off. Pro Speed Cuffs release cleanly under pressure for fast transitions. The combination is part of what's earned the Aspire its reputation: a suit that feels natural in the water and gets out of your way when the race demands it.
  5. Performance built on a material you can feel good
    about.
The Aspire is made from 100% B-Prene by Yamamoto, a sustainable neoprene that biodegrades by 30% in landfill conditions within 522 days, without compromising on flexibility, buoyancy, or durability. For athletes who think about the long game, this is the suit that reflects it.

WHAT YOU'LL FEEL

From the moment you enter the water, the suit works with the buoyancy you already have. Thewomen's Aspire is engineered to keep your body line neutral and balanced, supporting your natural position without over-lifting your legs, so your kick stays efficient and your lower back stays comfortable across the full distance. Your shoulders feel completely unrestricted through the full arc of your stroke, with no pinch or pull at the catch. The water moves over you rather than against you. Inside, the Silk-X lining is buttery soft against the skin and stays comfortable across even the most challenging races. When you hit T1, the suit comes off cleanly and fast. What stays with you is how natural it felt the whole way through.

EFFICIENCY: Swim further. Work less.

Body position is the single biggest efficiency lever in open water swimming. The women's Aspire is engineered to work with the buoyancy you already have, keeping your body line neutral and balanced across the full distance without over-lifting your legs. The result is a more efficient kick, a stable lower back, and a stroke that holds its shape from the first metre to the last. The BRE chest panel keeps your rotation controlled and your stroke long. More distance per pull, less fatigue over race distance. Tech behind it: Buoyancy-neutral design + BRE (Body Rotation Enhancement) chest panel

SPEED: Less resistance. More distance.

The SCS nano-coating on the Aspire brings drag down to a coefficient of 0.021, compared to 4.0 for standard neoprene. Water moves over the suit rather than slowing you through it. SCS also prevents water absorption, so there's no weight gain during the swim. Speed holds from the first stroke to the last. Tech behind it: SCS (Super Composite Skin) nano-coating, Yamamoto #40 neoprene

FLEXIBILITY: Full stroke. Every stroke.

The Aspire uses different Yamamoto cells in different parts of the suit, each chosen for what it does best. The X-10 shoulder panel is built from Yamamoto #40, the highest-stretch neoprene in the range, with 383% elasticity for unrestricted movement through the full arc of your stroke. The core and legs use Yamamoto #39, the most buoyant cell available, lifting your body position where it matters. The result is engineered flexibility where you need it, stable buoyancy where you don't. Tech behind it: Yamamoto #40 X-10 shoulder panel + Yamamoto #39 B-Prene core and legs

FIT GUIDANCE

Snug everywhere, restrictive nowhere. You should feel the suit holding your body without pinching at the shoulders or compressing your chest to the point where breathing feels laboured. If you can't take a full breath on land, size up. If there's loose material across the shoulders or chest, size down. Air pockets at the lower back usually mean you need a longer suit, such as an MT (Medium Tall), not a smaller size.

Size down if you're racing — a tighter fit gives you more from the suit's buoyancy and reduces water flushing. Size up if you're prioritising comfort for longer open water swims or training sessions where you'll be in the suit for extended periods.

Take your time the first time. Undo the zip fully and fold the top half of the wetsuit down, zip on the back. Start at the ankles and slowly work the neoprene up your legs in sections —don't try to pull from the top. Smooth out any air pockets as you go, particularly around the lower legs and crotch, before pulling the suit up over your torso. Reaching your hands towards the sky and helps to slide the arm sleeves into place. Use the pads of your fingers throughout, never your fingernails. The Silk-X lining will make this easier than most suits, but neoprene always requires patience on the first few wears. It will get easier as the suit breaks in.

This is my first wetsuit,

"This is my first wetsuit, so I don’t have much to compare to, but I don’t feel restricted in the suit and pretty comfortable even after swimming for more than an hr. I’m 6’4 around 200, the xl fits me great."

Bradley C. (5/5)

Amazing suit

"I felt compelled to come back and write a review of this suit. I bought it earlier this year with the intention of entering the long distance events. I've used it exclusively for longer training swims and for the events themselves. I'm not exaggerating about when I say it's been an amazing suit. A perfect blend of support through the waist and legs, balanced against flexibility in the shoulders. The feedback panels on the wrists are a nice touch. Warm enough for summer swims. I have just completed an 11 mile end to end of Windermere and I don't have a hint of chaffing around my neck, which is absurd! And to top it off, it absolutely looks the part. Just a fantastic suit!"

Incredibly soft!

"Zone3 Aspire is my upgrade from Zone3 Vision. Wow, the difference is huge! It fits like a glove, you can put it on or take it off within seconds. Once you have it, you can really feel that this is a top of the range wetsuit. I am glad I bought it! I am 196cm tall and 93kg body weight. XL is perfect!"

Mirek (5/5)

So far so good first

"So far so good first time with a zone3 Keeps me in a good position in the water and is not restricting my arm movement"

Adrian d. (4/5)

amazing, love it!

"Bought this to replace my old Vision which was getting a bit tired. Wow. it goes on like silk, the neoprene is butter soft and it just feels amazing. I was worried that as a higher end wetsuit the buoyancy might not be as good in the lower half - but with the aerodome panels on leg sides it feels amazing with a great horizontal body position. great work zone3"

Andy L. (5/5)

The best wetsuit. . .

". . . I've ever had! Fantastic quality from the fit down to the flexibility. Zone3 returns process was faultless in helping me choose the right size too."
